NEW CASTLE, Del. — The New Castle City Police Department has partnered with The GUIDE App to expand wellness and resilience resources available to its personnel, reinforcing the department’s commitment to supporting the mental, emotional, and operational well-being of first responders.

As law enforcement agencies nationwide continue to prioritize officer wellness and proactive mental health strategies, the New Castle City Police Department is investing in accessible tools designed to address the unique challenges faced by public safety professionals both on and off duty.

Built specifically for high-stress professions, The GUIDE App provides expert-led coaching, anonymous support, resilience training, and practical wellness resources that strengthen mental fitness, recovery, and long-term well-being. The platform serves law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel, corrections professionals, military members, veterans, healthcare workers, educators, and others working in demanding environments.

The GUIDE App currently supports nine law enforcement agencies throughout Delaware, including the City of Dover Police Department, Newark Police Department, and Middletown Police Department, further demonstrating the growing commitment to officer wellness across the state.

“We are honored to work alongside the men and women of New Castle City and support their ongoing commitment to wellness and resilience. We look forward to building a long-term partnership and helping provide meaningful resources that support those who serve their communities every day. We are already seeing strong engagement, with 72 percent of department personnel actively utilizing The GUIDE App.”

– Patrick Sandone, Founder and CEO of The GUIDE App.

Richard P. McCabe, President of the Delaware Association of Chiefs of Police and Chief of the New Castle City Police Department, praised both the platform and the team behind it.

“I have been extremely satisfied with the services and support provided through The GUIDE wellness App. Just as important as the product itself has been the responsiveness and accessibility of their team. [The GUIDE Team] has consistently made itself available to answer questions, address concerns, and assist our agency as we continue to prioritize our overall health. More importantly, Dave’s genuine desire to provide meaningful resources to first responders is both sincere and moving, and that commitment is evident in every interaction we have had with him and his organization.”

This collaboration reflects the increasing emphasis agencies are placing on wellness initiatives that support operational readiness, strengthen organizational culture, reduce burnout, and improve long-term workforce resilience.

Supporting Those Who Serve

The New Castle City Police Department remains committed to protecting and serving the residents, businesses, and visitors of New Castle City through professionalism, integrity, accountability, and community partnership. Beyond traditional law enforcement responsibilities, the department continues to invest in programs and resources that support both public safety and officer well-being.
