We’re always hearing about how The GUIDE App is making a difference, and that’s what keeps us going. But, as a science-backed app, we wanted to go further. We partnered with University of Pennsylvania researchers to conduct a clinical trial to study how well The Guide App supports the wellness and resilience of first responders, veterans, and active-duty military. While the full study results will be released in a few months, the preliminary results are already showing the impact of The Guide App!
Clinical trial participants saw significant improvements in mental health, emotional well-being, and social connectedness in just four weeks. Notably, The Guide App reduced depression by 32% and anxiety by 9%.
This isn’t the first time The Guide App has been evaluated by a team of researchers. An earlier pre-clinical trial of The Guide App corroborates the University of Pennsylvania study. The pilot study, available here, showed high participant engagement with up to 75% completing at least one lesson per week and 59% posting at least one small group comment per week. Consistent use led to increased positive emotions, motivation, and engagement and decreased anxiety (a 29% decrease on average), negative emotions, and loneliness.

These findings validate what our members already know—GUIDE is a powerful tool for improving wellness and resilience in high-stress professions. Unlike traditional solutions, GUIDE provides anonymous, real-time support tailored for first responders, veterans, and active-duty military, helping them build resilience and stay connected. This is the future of first responder and frontline worker wellness, and you can be part of it.
