Patrick Sandone, CEO and Founder of the GUIDE App, recently began a regular monthly segment on The Bob Cordaro Show, a production of Northeast PA’s News & Talk Station WILK Newsradio. Each month, Pat will join Bob live to discuss one of the daily practices taught in the GUIDE app, and explain how implementing these practices can help individuals make consistent, measurable progress toward achieving their highest potential and building a life they love.
In the first episode, Pat introduced the GUIDE App and its premise – that engaging in daily wellness practices for just a few minutes a day has a compounding effect over time, leading to measurable increases in well-being and overall life satisfaction. He went on to explain the benefits of developing a gratitude practice, which involves writing down several things you’re grateful for every day. By cultivating gratitude consistently, we can create new neural connections in our brain, leading to a more positive mindset and an increase in the release of “happy hormones” such as serotonin and dopamine. Pat shared that those who commit to a gratitude practice for 30 days, become 30% happier, and those who continue the practice for 6 months, become 60% happier.
View the full first episode above, and then commit to developing your own gratitude practice. For the next 30 days, we challenge you to identify and write down three things that you are grateful for each day. To reinforce the practice, consider sharing your gratitude list with a friend, colleague, or family member, whether through a text message, email, or conversation, and encourage them to embrace the daily habit for themselves.
